Park Maintenance - Insect Treatment
June 3, 2026
Recent heavy rains, warm Texas weather, and our shaded park areas has unfortunately created the ideal breeding ground for insects. We have noticed a significant increase in the pest population across our outdoor spaces.
To keep our community spaces enjoyable, The Meadows at Chandler Creek MUD will begin insect treatments in the parks starting today, June 3rd.
What We Are Doing
Our top priority is the health and safety of our residents and visitors. We are treating the open areas of the parks using methods that are as safe and targeted as possible to manage the insect surge while protecting our community and environment.
How You Can Stay Protected
While our teams are working hard to knock down the pest population in open areas, nature still has the home-team advantage in the woods and deep shade. For your comfort and safety, we highly recommend taking the following personal precautions when visiting the parks:
Use Personal Repellent: For the most effective added protection, please apply a personal insect repellent containing DEET or Picaridin before heading out.
Check the Clock: Pests are typically most active during dawn and dusk, so take extra precautions if you are visiting during these times.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to keep our parks beautiful, safe, and comfortable for everyone!
